Our staff includes experienced veterinarians, licensed veterinary technicians and trained assistants all accessible to clients for questions and advice. When you first call you will reach our knowledgeable receptionists Lisa & Pam. They will discern your needs and set you up with an appointment.
With our "Better Way" approach, we like to say we have the time to listen, we have the time to care.Office appointments typically last 40 minutes or more.
Dr. Bob taks pride in keeping up to date on the latest medical data regarding felines, including behavioral issues, diagnostics and techniques. Dr. Cheryl brings a unique skill set to meet our patients needs. We have the ability to run most laboratory tests within an hour and generally have results for you before you leave the office. We know you are concerned about your cat's well-being especially when they are ill and we are happy to have the means to provide this service for you.
When you come in for your appointment, you will meet the technical staff as well. Dave, Sherri, Ericka & Jewel will help your kitty get the treatment they need with the least amount of stress possible.
Bob Lann DVM(owner) joined the practice in June 2012 and has been a veterinary practitioner for 26 years.
Bob bought Cats Exclusively Veterinary Hospital from Dr. Fleming in 2014. He did his undergraduate work at The Ohio State University and received his veterinary degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987 (if you are very lucky you may catch him dressed as Captain Buckeye after an Ohio State football victory). He comes to the practice after owning and managing another hospital in Rochester for many years.
Bob is the father of two very smart and active boys (a lethal combination!) and is a coach in the Spencerport Soccer Club. He has been doing NY Times crosswords since finding them useful for boring lectures at Ohio State and has never looked back! Bob is an avid amateur paleontologist and spends many an hour digging for fossils in the area. He commonly finds shells, plants, and trilobites (small critters) fossils that are 300-350 million years old. Here is a newspaper story about one of Bob's fossil hunting adventures.
He is also the servant of 3 cats named Maddie, Sherman and Ethan who he adopted from Cats Exclusively. Sherman had a heart issue initially but has recovered. Maddie had to have a life-saving operation to remove part of her intestines and she runs around like a maniac now. Last but not least, Ethan, who has absolutely, positively nothing wrong with him.
Bob is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP),American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), New York State Veterinary Medical Association (NYSVMA) and Genessee Valley Veterinary Medical Association (GVVMA). His special interests include cardiology, echocardiography and dentistry.
Cheryl Ragalevsky, DVM, has been a veterinarian for 26 years, most of which were spent as an owner of a housecall practice. Cheryl received her undergraduate, Master's, and veterinary degrees from Michigan State University (whose football team will eventually beat Dr. Bob's beloved Ohio State Buckeyes).
Cheryl's practice interests include cats who "think" outside the box and cats with gastrointestinal issues. Outside of practice, her animal interests include shelter medicine and disaster medicine.
Cheryl has three cats at home - Ivan and Howard, who were foster failures, and Dewey, who is inconvenienced by the kittens but deals with it by rolling in catnip.
When not participating in motorsports at Watkins Glen, Cheryl loves puttering in her walk-through garden.

Dave Strassner - Licensed Veterinary Technician
Dave Strassner has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician in New York since graduating Magna Cum Laude with an AAS in Veterinary Science Technology from SUNY Delhi in 1995. Dave took on a leadership role while at the university acting as the Vice President of the student chapter of the New York State Association of Veterinary Technicians. Dave has worked at Cats Exclusively for 18 years and has developed a strong interest in feline medicine with a particular interest in dentistry and critical care. He currently is the Senior Technician at Cats Exclusively. Dave also worked for several years at Astra Pharmaceuticals as a consultant in their pathology department gaining valuable laboratory skills and further enhanced his skills in managing critical care patients while working as a Technician for two years at Veterinary Specialists of Rochester. He lives in Rochester with his fiance Marne and their two cats.
Lisa Stockwell - Receptionist
Lisa started working in veterinary medicine part-time in Pennsylvania. When she moved back to the Rochester area she was drawn toward working with felines and Cats Exclusively was a perfect match for her. She began working here full time and is now head receptionist. Lisa enjoys her three cats, Catcher, Digger and Cassidy and she does volunteer work.
Sherri Peoples - Licensed Veterinary Technician
Sherri has been with Cats Exclusively for more than 22 years after acquiring her Veterinary Technician license at SUNY Canton. She has worked in all departments of the hospital and is currently the office manager. Sherri has great self-restraint (we see many deserving, adoptable kitties in our field) and has only two forever cats, Van and Al, who are both rescues.
Pam Annala - Receptionist
Pam moved to New York State in 2000 and lives with her husband in Pittsford, NY. She earned her master's degree in 1997 and worked in behavioral health for several years. Pam and her husband have a dog and two cats who they love dearly. She merges the skills she's gained in human health to her love of animals to make a great addition to our team.
Ericka Price - Licensed Veterinary Technician
I've always loved animals, and I've worked in various positions in veterinary hospitals since 2007. I started fostering kittens in 2009, officially starting the fast track to CCM (crazy cat mom). I graduated from St. Petersburg College in 2012 and received my license later that same year.
Jewell Mucha - Veterinary Assistant
Animals have always held a special spot in Jewell’s heart. She began pet-sitting for friends and neighbors at age 12 and since that time has volunteered at a pet store and managed a pet grooming/boarding facility. In 2015 Jewell reached out to Cats Exclusively and began “shadowing” the vets and techs. After a few weeks Jewell became a “hands on” volunteer and was hired as a Vet Assistant in the spring of 2016. Jewell and her boyfriend have a pit bull/bulldog mix named Franko and two kitties, Sunny and Stormy.
Upon graduation from high-school, Jewell will attend college to become a Veterinary Technician.
